Two sent to three-day jail for eve-teasing

Two employees of a software firm were sentenced to three-day imprisonment by a local court for eve-teasing on the night of December 31.
It is alleged that E Upender and Suresh teased a woman and following a complaint the duo were arrested and produced before a court yesterday.
The two were convicted on the basis of CCTV footage and awarded the sentence under section 70 (C) of Hyderabad City Police Act, S R Nagar Police Station Inspector Md Waheeduddin said.
"Based on CCTV footage we managed to nab both of them," the Inspector said, adding they are now lodged in Chanchalguda jail here.

As per the footage, which was shown on some local TV channels, the duo riding on a two-wheeler were seen touching a woman from her back while she was standing on the roadside along with another woman and then speeding away.
