Govind Ram (16) was killed when he resisted an attempt by three unidentified persons to snatch his mobile phone in Chaksethwal village last night, they said.
He was rushed to the district hospital where doctors declared him brought dead, they said.
In another incident Mohd Jaafar (27) was shot at while he was returning home in Bamaur village in Mubarakpur area last night, they said, adding that he has been referred to Varanasi in a serious condition.
