After the accident a mob gathered on the spot blocked the road. It allegedly vandalised the bus and even tried to set it on fire. A police officer deployed with the PCR unit was injured when he was allegedly attacked with stones, police said.
The blockade lead to traffic snarl in the area. It took the police around two hours to bring the situation under control, said a police officer.
According to the police, the incident was reported around 7.30 a. The teenagers were going to a friends house in a scooter, when the cluster bus - operating on route number 234, between Karampura terminal and Harsh Vihar - hit the vehicle.
The teenagers, who were not wearing helmets, fell on the road and became unconscious. They live in a JJ cluster nearby. Soon, locals gathered in the area and one of them called up the police control room, said the official.
Later, another case was registered against several unknown persons under sections of rioting, assaulting a public servant on duty and causing damage to public property at the Sarai Rohilla police station.
"Three persons were arrested till this afternoon and eight more have been identified, who are likely to be arrested too," said Madhur Verma.
