Two traps erected to trap monkey

Forest Department officials erected two traps to capture a wild monkey that attacked a dog here.
According to forest officials that three days back a male monkey while crossing the Muthuvelappa Gounder street caught a small dog and atacked it.
On Monday last The forest officials saved the dog from the monkey and took it to a veterinarian and provided treatment.
But the monkey went wild while searching for the dog. The public and the Forest Department officials felt that the monkey would attack the locals and placed a trap to catch monkey.
District Forest Officer Nagarajan said already the department had constructed a Monkey Rehabilitation Centre at Vellode Birds Sanctuary.
