Two women dead as SUV overturns in Chhattarpur district

Two women were killed and six others were injured today when the SUV they were travelling in overturned near Kanchanpur, about 80 km from here, police said.
The victims were on their way to Vindhyavasini temple from Chhattarpur when the speeding SUV overturned as the driver tried to dodge a cow which suddenly came in front, Chandla police station in-charge Vijay Mishra said.
The deceased were identified as Kattu Bai (40) and Parvati Ahirwar (30), he said.
Of the six injured, the condition of four was serious. All of them were admitted in the district hospital, Mishra said.
A case has been registered in this regard and further investigations are on.
