Two women killed in Bhojpur district

Unidentified miscreants killed two women by slitting their throats at Shedaha village under Tarari police station of Bihar's Bhojpur district.
Piro Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Reshu Krishna said the deceased have been identified as Motjhara Devi (75) and Kanti Devi (50) who lost their husband Vishwanath Singh five years ago.
The deceased were the residents of Shedaha village of the district.
The incident occurred early in the morning today when both the women were inside their house. The miscreants first slit the throat of Kanti Devi who was preparing food and then attacked Motjhara Devi who was sleeping in her room,
The SDPO said the reasons behind the murder could not be ascertained yet.
The bodies have been sent to Ara Sadar hospital for post-mortem, he said adding, the police have began an investigation.
