In the first incident, a woman was allegedly raped by a tantrik (an occult practitioner) at phase-3 on pretext of detecting hidden wealth.
In another case, a woman from Kasna has alleged that she was raped by a man for six months on the pretext of marriage.
The victim, who is now pregnant has alleged that the accused refused to marry her and was pressuring for abortion.
Meanwhile, at Badalpur's Mahavarr village, a man identified as Amar attempted suicide by consuming poisonous substance this morning. He was admitted to a hospital where his condition was stated to be critical.
His nephew has registered an FIR, stating the deceased was living with a person and suspected foul play.
Police said the body was sent for postmortem, adding further investigations are underway.
