"There is no necessacity for a change," Tytler told reporters here.
"Neither any PCC furnctionary or any district or blcok level leader have so far suggested me to change the state leadership," he said while coming to the rescue of the OPCC President Niranjan Patnaik who had been facing opposition from within the party.
The AICC general secretary was here to interact with the district and block level officials of the party in Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal and Boudh to chalk out the future plan for strengthening of the party.
Blaming it on the ruling BJD's alleged excess spending and mis-utilisation of machineries during the recently concluded panchayat polls, Tytler also admitted wrong selection of candidates for the rural elections led to defeat of the party candidates.
He said the party was trying to strengthening its organisation from the grass root level keeping on the eyes of the next general elections to be held on 2014. "The Congress workers will be made aware about the centrally sponsored programmes and asked local leaders to propagate that Centre has been funding several welfare programmes and not the BJD government," he said.
"The state government has named at least 19 centrally sponsored schemes as their own programmes. This is a serious issue. The state government has also failed to properly implement some of the flagship programmes of the Centre like the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS)," he alleged.
