Tata Football Academy emerged winners while East Bengal finished runners-up after the final round of Under-19 I-league tournament here today.
TFA captain K Udanta Singh netted two goals in each half to thrash Hindustan FC 4-0 in an one-sided match played at Keenan stadium here.
The Tata-side dominated the proceedings right from the kick-off and found the target in the 36th minute with striker Udanta Singh's powerful 25-yard right-footer.
TFA kept building pressure on Hindustan FC, who failed to open account in the tournament as Udanta Singh went on scoring three more goals (39th, 61st and 79th).
After today's win, TFA, with 13 points from four wins and a draw, topped the chart to emerge winners.
In an another inconsequential match played at the JRD Tata Sports complex, Sesa Goa beat AIFF Navi Mumbai Academy 3-1.
Earlier in the day, East Bengal defeated Shillong Lajong FC through a first-half solitary goal in their last engagement of the tournament at JRD Tata Sports Complex.
East Bengal finished with 10 points from three wins, one loss and a draw.
