The chief minister was here to review the law and order situation and developmental works.
Bahuguna said officers who do not work on their weaknesses to improve their performance would not be spared.
He stressed on the importance of a vigilance cell in every department to check corruption and inefficiency.
Co-ordination between different departments was essential, he said, adding, the grievances of the people should be given top priority.
He directed police and district officials to conduct timely reviews to improve efficiency and said all developmental works should be completed within deadline without compromising on quality.
To check the influx of criminals from other states, he said strict surveillance should be set up at the state borders.
