U'khand panel probing 'scams' of BJP govt submits report
Press Trust of India Dehradun Tripathi commission, probing about six cases of alleged corruption during the previous BJP government in Uttarakhand, today submitted its report to Chief Minister Harish Rawat, who said that further action on it will taken by the state Cabinet.
Alleged Siturjia land scam and irregularities in allocation of hydel projects are among the major cases probed by the panel.
Soon after the report was submitted to him, Rawat said it will be placed before the state Cabinet which will take a final call.
"Any action on the report of the Commission depends on what the Cabinet recommends," the Chief Minister said.
The commission headed by former IAS officer Sushil Chandra Tripathi was looking into nearly half-a-dozen cases of alleged corruption and scams during the previous BJP government.
