He claimed that during the 11th Inter State Council meeting in New Delhi yesterday, Jaitley had agreed that while many states profited from the recommendations of 14th Finance Commission, Uttarakhand suffered losses and a way will be devised to compensate for it.
The state was incurring a loss of around Rs 1,800 crore every year, the Chief Minister said.
The issue of providing 'green bonus' to the Himalayan states for their participation in the National Eco service was raised at the meeting. Also, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has assured of setting up a doppler radar and constructing roads in the border areas, Rawat said.
