UAE expresses commitment to implement outcomes of PM's visit

The UAE today expressed commitment to expeditiously implement the outcomes of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit there, including in the fields of trade and investment, defence and security.
It was conveyed by visiting Foreign Minister of UAE Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Modi when he met him here.
The Prime Minister recalled his highly successful visit to the UAE and said it has "charted a new course" in bilateral relations between the two countries that would not only be beneficial for the two countries but also contribute to peace and prosperity in Asia and beyond, a PMO statement said.
Modi said the Foreign Minister's visit in follow-up to his own trip to the UAE recently reflected the new found vibrancy in the relationship, the statement said.
He expressed deep satisfaction that concrete steps were being taken to implement the decisions taken during his visit.
The UAE Foreign Minister said his country attaches highest importance to comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.

He conveyed the UAE's commitment to expeditiously implement the substantive outcomes emerging from the Prime Minister's visit in a broad range of areas, including trade and investment, defence, security, energy, space, renewable energy, science and technology, tourism and people-to-people contacts, the statement said.
Opportunities for bilateral cooperation, including joint research and development in science and technology, UAE investments for setting up manufacturing industry in India and strengthening cooperation in third countries were among the issues discussed, it said.
The Prime Minister expressed deep appreciation for the vision of the UAE's leadership in transforming the country by harnessing the possibilities of human spirit, innovation and science.
He appreciated the vibrant and multicultural society in the UAE that has also embraced and protected the interests of 2.6 million Indians in the country.
The Prime Minister reiterated his invitation to the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi to visit India at his earliest convenience.
