UAE's Ajman zone eyes investment from Indian cos

A delegation from Ajman Free Zone, UAE today kicked-off a roadshow here to encourage Indian companies to set up offices in the free trade zone.
It also highlighted the incentives being offered on investments in the made in UAE-based zone.
The UAE-based free trade zone offers benefits like 100 per cent foreign ownership, repatriation of capital and profits, no corporate tax, no personal income tax, single-window clearances and cheap energy to businesses interested in setting up an offshore company, the delegation said.
"With a large Indian diaspora residing in UAE and around the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), India and its business community is of strategic importance to us," Mahmood Al Hashemi, General Manager of Ajman Free Zone said.
India is one of the top three trading partners of the UAE. At present, over 17,000 companies are registered in Ajman Free Zone out of which over 40 per cent are of Indian ownership.
The road shows are being held in three cities including Chennai, Delhi and Mumbai in collaboration with Indian National Bar Association.
