Uber appoints Shweta Rajpal Kohli as Head of Public Policy Ind

Cab-hailing app Uber has appointed former journalist, Shweta Rajpal Kohli as the Head of Public Policy and Government Affairs for its India operations.
The appointment comes at a time when the US-based company is focussing on ramping up its business in India, which is its second largest market in terms of number of trips taken, after the US.
"I'm hugely excited to take up the role of Head of Public Policy and Government Affairs in Uber India. Uber is transforming mobility for riders, providing livelihood with dignity for driver partners and celebrating cities. I look forward to being part of this impactful journey and joining the Uber India team," Kohli said.

Kohli was previously working as the Economic Affairs Editor at NDTV. She has worked across media houses like Bennett Coleman and Co Ltd, Business Standard, Hindustan Times and The Indian Express.
She has received several awards including Ramnath Goenka Award for Excellence in Broadcast Journalism.
