Under the agreement which Uber signed with the Moscow City Hall, the controversial California-based company will "only cooperate with drivers who have official permission to carry passengers," the City Hall said in a statement.
For the purpose of traffic analysis, Uber will also provide the city authorities with information about passengers' trips, the statement said.
The Moscow City Hall has already signed similar agreements with other online taxi services, including with the one owned by Russia's Internet giant, Yandex.
