UBHL gets nod to buy Rs 150-cr goods from UBL
Press Trust of India New Delhi Vijay Mallya-promoted UB Holding Ltd (UBHL) today got shareholders' nod for purchasing goods, including beer, of worth up to Rs 150 crore from group firm United Breweries Ltd.
The shareholders of the company at its Annual General Meeting (AGM) passed the resolution for "contract with UBL in respect of purchase of goods and material from them (including purchase of beer)," UBHL informed the BSE.
Besides, the company also got shareholders' approval for reappointment of Daljit Mahal on its board, who was retiring by rotation.
UBHL also got an approval for ratification of reappointment for its auditor at its 100th AGM at Bengaluru.
On September 6, UBHL had informed that it was seeking consent of its shareholders at its upcoming AGM "to enter into a contract/arrangement with UBL in respect of purchase of goods or materials from them (including purchase of beer) for an estimated amount of up to Rs 150 crore for 2016-17.
