UBIL eyes Rs 20 cr in sales, 3% market share in India

Ultralife Batteries India Ltd (UBIL) is aiming for up to 2-3 per cent market share in India in the next five years, mainly targeting renewable energy segments and institutional sales.
UBIL, a subsidiary of US-based Ultralife Corporation is looking for sectors such as defence, medical, telecom markets, besides renewable energy-based solutions as solar powered LED street lights for expansion.
"Next two years, we are aiming to have sales of Rs 20 crore with 2 to 3 per cent market share of battery segment in next five years," UBIL Director B R Ganesh told PTI.

* The Chandigarh-based engineering, procurement and construction company Hartek Power today announced the execution of the planned city's first solar project in commercial category at Chandigarh Technology Park in Kishangarh.
"This 436-kWp project is the largest solar PV project to be commissioned in Chandigarh...Taking Chandigarh a step closer to becoming a Model Solar City," the company said in a statement.

Thiruvananthapuram: The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has appointed E A Subramanian as Director- Technical and Operations, of the Central PSU HLL Life Care Limited.
Backed by 30 years of experience in management services, Subramanian is a chemical engineering graduate from Thrissur Government Engineering College.
He previously served as the Managing Director of Bengal Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals Limited and CEO of Chennai-based HLL Biotech Limited, a press release said.
