UC Browser crosses 130 mn monthly active users in India

Alibaba's UC Browser today said it has over 130 million monthly active users in India and announced the launch of its latest version 12.0 in the country.
"UC Browser crossed 130 million monthly active users in India as of January 2018. It is the sixth most downloaded app in India," Shallia Li, Head of UC Browser (International Business Department) at Alibaba Mobile Business Group told reporters.
India is the largest overseas market outside China for the company, Li added.
The company said the latest version of UCWeb 12.0 buffers videos with zero lag and saves 50 per cent data on video consumption.

"Our vision is 'content for everyone, every content for one'...making content accessible for users regardless of network infrastructure and mobile hardware type while personalising the contents as per user preference," she said.
