Local lad Karan Taunk added a 68 to his overnight score and was lying second at 14-under 199 after 54 holes. Simarjeet Singh was a far third with a total of 204 while Trishul Chinnappa was further four shots behind Simarjeet. Jaibir Singh was placed fifth at 209 while Lokesh Lakshman was sixth at 210.
Karan, meanwhile, made two birdies on the second and seventh but made a bogey on the ninth. Karan began his return journey with back to back birdies on the 10th and 11th hole. However, he dropped a shot on the 14th before signing off with a birdie to stay in contention for the title.
