Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray will arrive in Goa tomorrow for a visit during which he will hold talks with rebel RSS leader Subhash Velingkar for an alliance for the state Assembly elections due next year.
"Thackrey will arrive in the state tomorrow morning. He will pay tributes at the samadhi of Goa's first Chief Minister late Dayanand Bandodkar at Miramar near here before proceeding to Porvorim where he is scheduled to address workers' convention," Sena Goa unit chief Sudip Tamankar told PTI.
He will later meet Velingkar, whose party Goa Suraksha Manch (GSM) is in talks with the Shiv Sena for an alliance in the forthcoming state polls.
"Preliminary discussions on alliance (for Goa polls) will be held during the meeting. The details about seat sharing would be discussed later," Tamankar said.
The GSM has already expressed its desire to align with Shiv Sena in Goa polls.
Earlier this week, Velingkar had told PTI that during the meeting with Thackeray, in-principle approval for the alliance would be granted, pending detailed discussion on the number of seats to be contested by each party.

Tamankar today said Thackeray will host dinner for editors of various media houses during his visit here.
The Sena president will leave the state on Saturday after addressing a formal press conference.
Shiv Sena has already a submitted proposal to GSM for alliance, seeking 20 out of 40 seats in Goa. Currently, Sena has no representation in Goa Assembly.
GSM was formed after the BJP-led government refused to pay heed to the demand of Bharatiya Bhasha Surakash Manch (BBSM) that mother tongue be made medium of instruction (MoI) for elementary education in the state.
