UDF ministers, legislators 'frotteurs': LDF convenor
Press Trust of India Kottayam LDF convenor Vaikom Viswan today described as "frotteurs" Kerala's UDF Ministers and legislators in the Congress-led allies, whose names figured in a purported letter written by solar scam accused Saritha Nair.
Coming down heavily on the Oommen Chandy-led government, he said it was in neck-deep corruption and the Chief Minister was protecting all "corrupt elements in the government, including Finance Minister K M Mani who is accused of taking bribe from bar owners".
"People are not only concerned about massive corruption happening in this government, they are also equally worried about the character of many in the Oommen Chandy government. Many of them are frotteurs," the CPI(M) leader said here.
Referring to the fight between Mani and his party Kerala Congress (M) Vice Chairman P C George, Viswan also said that the UDF government, which is hit by corruption and sex scandals, "is like a person with skin ulcers covered by satin clothes.
