UFO Moviez raises Rs 180 crore from anchor investors

Digital cinema distribution firm UFO Moviez India today raised Rs 180 crore from anchor investors,ahead of its three-day initial public offer beginning tomorrow.
The company alloted 28.8 lakh shares to anchor investors at a price of Rs 625, which is also the upper end of its price band for the IPO.
The anchor investors include SBI Magnum Global Fund and Jupiter South Asia Investment Company, according to a filing made by the company to the National Stock Exchange.
UFO Moviez plans to raise about Rs 600 crore through the IPO, including the anchor investors' portion. The price band has been fixed at Rs 615-625.
The issue would close on April 30.
Investors such as 3i Research (Mauritius) Ltd and P5 Asia Holding Investments (Mauritius) Ltd (P5), and promoters will pare their stakes through the IPO.
The company has reported revenue of Rs 357.2 crore for the first nine months of FY15, with a profit after tax of Rs 40.6 crore.
