After receiving representations from several students' unions, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has asked all Central universities to include the option of 'None of the Above' (NOTA) in elections to student bodies.
In a letter to the Vice Chancellors of Central Universities, UGC Secretary Jaspal S Sandhu said the Commission has receievd representations from several students' unions demanding inclusion of NOTA option in campus polls.
It asked the universities to consider including NOTA option on EVMs and ballot papers during student body polls.
