British Deputy High Commissioner Bharat Joshi, who was part of the delegation, today said during the meeting the business delegation presented their high tech smart city solutions --on how UK companies can help development of Kochi as a smart city.
"We are very excited on the opportunities. In fact we can deliver a smart city--make Kochi a nicer place," Joshi said after the meeting.
He said the UK, having experiences in building smart cities like London and Manchester, could share the lessons they have learnt with Indian cities, including Kochi.
The business delegation had visited New Delhi during Birtish Prime Minister Theresa May's visit early this week.
The UK invests more in India than the US and Japan combined and India is the third largest investor in the UK.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced the partnership between the two countries during his visit to the UK in November 2015.
