Official figures say net migration to Britain has fallen to a three-year low as European Union nationals leave the country following Britain's 2016 vote to quit the bloc.
The Office for National Statistics says net migration, the difference between arrivals and departures, was 246,000 in the year to March 31, a fall of 81,000 on a year earlier.
The statistics office said today that 122,000 EU citizens left Britain in the year to March, up 31,000 from the year before.
EU citizens have the right to live and work in any member state, and more than 3 million nationals of other EU countries live in Britain.
Britain's vote to leave the bloc, and end free movement from the EU, has left many uncertain about their future.
