An Indian-origin man in the UK who was found hanged in London is feared to have committed suicide after killing his wife and twin teenage daughters.
Scotland Yard today officially released the names of the family of four, originally from Kerala and believed to be British nationals based in London for the past eight years.
The body of Pullarkattil Kunjunny Rethish Kumar, 44, was discovered yesterday by Metropolitan Police Homicide and Major Crime Command officers at Woodford Reservoir in Walthamstow, north-east London, and pronounced dead at the scene.
The discovery was made not far from his home at Chadwell Heath in east London where a day before Met police officers had discovered the bodies of his wife, 37-year-old Shighi Kotuvala, and 13-year-old twins Neha and Niya Rethishkumar and launched a murder inquiry.
"Post-mortem examinations are due to commence today, 14 May, at East Ham Mortuary. We will not speculate on cause of death, however the female bodies have no signs of visible injuries," a Met Police spokesperson said.
"We are making extensive enquiries to trace next of kin, who we believe to be outside of the UK," he added.

But as police confirmed they were not looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths, the speculation has mounted around a murder-suicide theory.
However, the motive remains unclear as they seemed to be a happy family with Shighi uploading a latest picture on to Facebook just last week.
She worked as a social worker for Havering Council and her husband worked for Redbridge Leisure Services.
The family were also members of the local East London Malayalee Association.
