The 22-year-old son of the UK's intelligence chief has been killed in a car crash on a private Scottish estate, police said on Tuesday.
Sam Younger, the son of Alex Younger, the head of MI6, died after the crash in Stirlingshire on Saturday, Police Scotland confirmed.
Police Scotland said Younger's death was "being treated as unexplained, however there does not appear to be any suspicious circumstances".
A report was being compiled to be submitted to the procurator fiscal, the Guardian newspaper reported.
A spokesman would not confirm reports that a male friend of Younger was injured in the crash, it said.
Younger was a former pupil of Dulwich College, one of the UK's leading public schools.
Younger's family said they wished for privacy and space to remember and celebrate their "wonderful son."
