"...That day 68 of the 70 members were present in the Assembly of which 37 MLAs voted against the government. That means the government failed and it also lost right to stay in power. Later our MLAs wrote to the Secretary to bring a no-confidence motion against the chairman and the deputy chairman of the House," Koshyari said in Delhi during a press conference, minutes before Uttarakhand was brought under the President's Rule.
"We were expecting justice from the Governor. But instead of dismissing the government, the Governor tried to save it by giving them 10 days' time to prove majority, which was against the rules and regulations of the Vidhan Sabha," he claimed.
"Had the Governor been fair, he would have immediately suspended the government in the state and imposed President's Rule," Koshyari said.
