A lottery ticket vendor in the southern Chinese city of Dongguan sold two tickets with numbers confirmed on November 10, 2015 to win a combined 25.64 million yuan in prize money.
Under China's lottery rules, the holder of winning tickets should redeem the prize within 60 days after it is announced.
The 25.64-million-yuan prize expired on January 9 this year and the deadline was extended to Monday.
The rules also stipulate that expired prize money should be put into the welfare fund, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.
