Under-trial woman prisoner escapes from Thane jail

Sujata Bhimsingh Rathod (30) was brought to the hospital from Kalyan jail on Friday after she complained of abdominal pains, they said.

The Narcotics Cell of Thane police had registered an offence against her for peddling marijuana at Ambernath police station.

According to sources, Rathod escaped from the women's ward this morning.
