Shares of Unichem Laboratories today surged nearly 7 per cent after the company said it has not received any observations from the US health regulator after completion of inspection of its Ghaziabad facility in Uttar Pradesh.
The stock gained 6.72 per cent to end at Rs 277.90 on BSE. During the day, it jumped 8.65 per cent to Rs 282.95.
On NSE, shares of the company soared 6.58 per cent to close at Rs 277.60.
The company's market valuation also rose by Rs 123.67 crore to Rs 1,954.67 crore.
The company's formulation manufacturing facility at Ghaziabad was inspected by the United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) from April 16, 2018 to April 20, 2018, Unichem Laboratories said in a BSE filing on Friday.
The inspection concluded with zero observations, it added.
