Home Minister Rajnath Singh moved a resolution at the cabinet meeting and all the cabinet members joined him in congratulating the Prime Minister for his Japan visit.
"In the Cabinet today, Home Minister Rajnath Singh moved a resolution on the very successful and effective visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Japan, which saw India's image being enhanced and also drawing unprecedented support from Japan," Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad told reporters.
"The Cabinet members warmly lauded the Prime Minister for his successful visit and congratulated him," he said.
"I thank the people of Japan for the affection, warmth & wonderful hospitality during my visit. Thank you Japan," the Prime Minister had tweeted after his return. The same message was tweeted in Japanese language as well.

Japan promised Modi to give USD 35 billion to India over the next five years for developmental projects as the two sides agreed to enhance their strategic cooperation to a new level.
Modi visited the 'smart city' of Kyoto, besides Tokyo where he held talks with his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe and met other leaders.
During his visit, Modi invited Japanese investments while hard-selling India as a conducive destination for business particularly for the manufacturing sector.
