Union minister Jitendra Singh Wednesday appealed to BJP leaders to spend more time in their respective areas to connect with the voters and make them aware about various welfare schemes launched by the central government.
Addressing BJP activists here, he said Prime Minister Narendra Modi works 18 hours a day without taking a single day leave to fulfil his poll promises of making India corruption free, end dynastic rule and provide good governance.
He was speaking at the ground-breaking ceremony of a party office in Udhampur-Kathua-Doda parliamentary constituency.
The union minister said it was indeed a matter of pride for him to serve as a Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).
"Numerous new projects have been sanctioned and most of them completed in Udhampur-Kathua-Doda parliamentary constituency during my five years term," he said.
"Even on March 8, the last working day before imposition of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC), approval for eight mobile towers on the International Border was sanctioned which would be an advantage for the border people," Singh said.
