The senior BJP leader and Union Minister of State for Labour and Employment said the incident has "spread fears" in the mind of the people of Telangana and urged the Centre look into the "general" law and order situation.
Dattatreya, who represents Secunderabad constituency of Telangana, today met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and sought involvement of National Investigation Agency and Intelligence Bureau into the matter.
"As this incident points to involvement of nationally banned militant outfit like SIMI and as it is spreading fear in the minds of Telangana people, the intervention of national probe agencies like NIA (National Investigation Agency) and IB is required to take up in depth investigation," he said in the representation.
Claiming that Hyderabad had been a place known for nurturing militant activities by banned militant outfits, he said that it is all the more necessary to take up an in-depth investigation into the recent incident and its repercussions.
