University issues guidelines for courses

Issuing guidelines for its courses, Haryana University today said no institution located in the state can offer any diploma or certificate course in veterinary, animal sciences, fishery sciences and allied sciences without getting affiliation of the Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinay Sciences and Animal Sciences (LUVAS).
As per the provision in Haryana Legislature Act 2010, such an act of any institution is in contravention of the provision of the LUVAS Act, an university official said.
He said it has been brought to the notice of the university administration that some institutions/sansthans/ companies which are not affiliated to LUVAS are illegally offering training/teaching/research in the fields of veterinary, animal sciences and allied sciences.
The offence is punishable with imprisonment up to three years or fine up to Rs 5,000 or both, the official said.
