A giant pendulum has been removed from the campus at the Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan, after students tried to replicate pop star Miley Cyrus' racy 'Wreaking Ball' music video.
In the video, released in the wake of Cyrus' notorious VMA performance, she swings across the screen nude while riding a wrecking ball.
Students at GVSU paid tribute by reenacting their own version on the 42-inch steel ball hanging on a 50-foot cable, reported E! online.
"After several naked Vines imitating Miley Cyrus, Grand Valley State University has taken down the pendulum structure better known as the GV Wrecking Ball, a campus landmark that had been up for years," a report said.
'Wreaking Ball' is the second single from Cyrus' forthcoming album Bangerz.
The provocative video was directed by controversial photographer Terry Richardson - the man known for shooting Kate Upton's curves and who counts Lindsay Lohan as a key muse.
