Unseasonal rains, hailstorm lash Jalna district; one killed

A woman was killed and 20 others were injured in separate incidents as unseasonal rains and hailstorm lashed this district in Central Maharashtra today, reports reaching here said.
The rains and hailstorm disrupted normal life and snapped power and telephone lines. Crops were also damaged. A woman was killed and about 20 others, including 10 students, were injured in various rain and hailstorm-related incidents, said the reports quoting local officials.
Electricity poles were uprooted and mud houses collapsed at Partur, Ghanswangi and Ambad tehsils. Road traffic was paralysed in Jalna town due to water logging.
