UP: 3 booked in 20-day old rape case after court order

More than one-and-a-half months after they turned away a woman who complained that she had been raped, police have been instructed by a local court to file an FIR against the three men she had accused of the crime.
On the directions of the court, the police lodged an FIR against Bhup Singh, a resident Saray village, and two others for rape yesterday.
The woman in her complaint has alleged that she was raped by Singh and two others on April 16 when she was alone at her house, police said today.
She alleged that she had then approached the local police and the SSP, but no one paid any heed to her complaint, prompting her to move the court.

The police lodged a case yesterday after the court's intervention, she said.
Police said no one has been arrested yet.
