UP: Absconding criminal killed in encounter
Dharmendra alias Lala, who was carrying a cash reward of Rs 1 lakh, was wanted for his involvement in as many as 25 criminal cases including that of murder, attempt to murder, murder besides others, police sources said.
He had been at large after escaping from police custody in
Bijnor district in 2007, they said, adding that a 9 mm pistol, besides a number of live cartridges were recovered from his possession.
