UP: Appointment of new part-time teachers put on hold

The Uttar Pradesh project office has asked all district basic education officers to ensure that no newly recruited candidate join on the post of part-time teacher.
The move comes after an FIR against 46 persons for submitting bogus education documents while seeking jobs in junior high schools.
A letter by SPO Director Sheetal Verma to the District Basic Education officers said that fresh guidelines would be issued regarding issuing of appointment letters to part-time teachers.
Earlier, the Basic Education department had been instructed to conclude the recruitment process by April 30.
Kheri BSA Om Prakash Ray confirmed the receipt of letter and said that issuing of appointment letters had been immediately suspended till further orders.
