"The state government is not paying any attention towards problems like deteriorating law and order, acute power crisis, development works and hike in cane prices," deputy leader of BJP Legislative Party Satish Mahana alleged in a statement issued here.

He said that under such circumstances the government should immediately call a session of the house so that detailed discussion could be held on the current situation.

Mahana alleged that Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav had assured to call a meeting of the house every two months, but it seems that government was not taking any interest.

Meanwhile, BJP state president Laxmi Kant Bajpai alleged that the recent incidents of clashes in the state were due to appeasement policy of the government and mentality of police administration to work like SP workers.

Bajpai claimed that within seven months of the government formation 11 clashes have taken place in nine district.

The state president said that transfers and suspension were done in the name of action, but administrative firmness was not evident.

"Only FIRs are lodged, but no action is taken on them," Bajpai alleged.
