After BJP stormed to power in Uttar Pradesh, ending a 15-year hiatus, the party's state executive will meet here from May 1 to thank voters for the overwhelming support, besides taking up other issues.
BJP national President Amit Shah will address the concluding session of the two-day meeting, party's state unit spokesman Shalabh Mani Tripathi told PTI here.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Union ministers from the state, MPs and state cabinet ministers will attend the meet that will be held at the Scientific Convention Centre in the old city here.
The state executive members will be informed in detail about resolutions passed in the BJP's recent national executive meeting in Bhubaneshwar, he said.
Even as Adityanath government has already started an exercise for taking opinions of Muslim women on triple talaq, the issue could also come up in the meet, a senior leader said.
He said the party might pass a resolution to thank people of the state for extending massive support to it in the Assembly elections.
The meeting could also take a pledge to fulfil promises made in 'Lok Kalyan Sankalp Patra' (manifesto).
After the state executive, meetings of regional and district units will be organised across the state on May 5, 6 and 7.
