The death toll in last week's boat tragedy in the Ganga river here rose to three after the recovery of the body of a woman today, an official said.
With this bodies of three women have so far been fished out while efforts are on to trace others, District Magistrate Atal Kumar Rai said.
The deceased has been identified as Sarvesh, 37, he said.
Bodies of Nagini and Meena were recovered earlier, he added said.
As many as 27 men and women were in the boat when it capsized in the river near Rajarampur village in the Mandawar area here on August 25. Eleven men and six women were rescued, he said.
The rescue operation is being carried out by the National Disaster Response Force and the Uttar Pradesh Provincial Armed Constabulary.

Rai said the help of the locals, living in the nearby areas, was also being taken to trace the missing persons.
Additional Superintendent of Police (city) Dinesh Singh said the people were headed for their fields located on the other side of the river when the boat overturned.
