"Expressing grief over the incident, the CM has announced a financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh to the mother of the man who committed suicide in Allahabad on September 20," a spokesperson said.
Yadav has also directed officials to take strict action against those giving loan on higher interest rates, the spokesperson said.
Terming such incidents as a "blot" on society, the Chief Minister instructed the state Chief Secretary to prepare and implement an action plan allowing needy people to get loans from banks and financial institutions easily.
On September 20, Babloo (40), his wife Rekha (35) along with their three sons Golu (15), Sonu (13) and Nikhil (12) committed suicide by jumping in front of Patna-Sikandara Express train at Jhunsi area of Allahabad district, a police spokesperson said.
A probe revealed that Babloo had taken loan from a private money lender and was under pressure since he could not pay it back, driving him to take the extreme step along with his family.
