UP CM asks stakeholders to make school campaign a success

Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has appealed to all public representative in the state, including MPs and MLAs, to play an active role for success of 'School Chalo' campaign, aimed at encouraging parents to send their wards to schools.
In a letter to MPs, MLAs, District and City Council chairmen and school managers, Akhilesh termed their role an important one for the success of the campaign, a statement said.
He said that one month campaign from July 1 to July 31 will encourage parents to enroll their children in schools.
Akhilesh has requested the representatives to contribute in bringing children of all sections of the society, including those from minorities, SC/ST, backward and financially backward families to schools.
He said under the campaign it is the priority of the government that all children in the age group of 6 to 14 years study in schools.
