During a meeting with a delegation of farmers from different states, Yadav said the government was serious on use of advanced technology, attracting investment, ensuring proper marketing and providing remunerative prices to farmers.
He said the government would take timely and necessary decisions on encouraging modern agriculture production technology and to make UP a state offering better facilities to its farmers.
Yadav said the government was considering liberal policies for the benefit of cane-growing farmers of the state and also to enable them and the sugar industry to grow together and contribute to all-round development of the state.
He said that in the next two years the government would make all efforts to produce electricity from the sugar mills and try to ensure that it benefits rural areas.
