UP continues to reel under cold, dense fog

Fog enveloped most parts of Uttar Pradesh even as weather remained mainly dry in the past 24 hours in the state.
According to the MeT department, night temperature fell appreciably in Allahabad, Varanasi, Jhansi divisions, fell in Kanpur division and changed little in remaining parts.
It was appreciably above normal in Gorakhpur, Faizabad divisions and was normal in the remaining divisions in the state.
Lowest minimum temperature was recorded in Nazibabad at 4 degree Celsius.
The department said that weather would be mainly dry and rain or thundershowers would occur at few places over west UP.
