Under the initiative titled '#ESamvadupp with DGP', the twitterati can ask their questions with the hash tag '#AskDGPUP'.
"The Uttar Pradesh DGP will be available on Twitter handle @dgpup for one hour from 5.30 pm tomorrow to directly answer questions and concerns of people of the state," PRO to DGP, Rahul Srivastava said.
Similar initiative will be started at district levels, wherein district police chiefs will be available for the people of their respective regions, the PRO said.
The Uttar Pradesh Police has over 2,76,000 followers on Twitter under its handle @Uppolice. The state police had made its Twitter debut in September last year for better redressal of public issues.

More than 120 verified accounts of the Uttar Pradesh Police across districts and zones are accessible to the public on Twitter, he said.
The PRO said the tweeted complaints were recorded on a centralised dashboard and a docket number was allotted to each complaint, which was then forwarded to the district police concerned for resolution.
"The docket number is used to keep a tab on the status of the complaint, which is 'open' when the case is unresolved, 'in process' when the police responds and begins inquiry, and 'closed' when an FIR is lodged. All these statuses are indicated by a colour code," Srivastava added.
