"The Centre has given a go ahead to transfer upto five hectares of forest land for 13 purposes, including setting up of watch towers, drinking water, schools, telephone lines, non-conventional energy sources, vocational training centres and minor irrigation canals," IG law and order RK Vishwakarma told reporters here.
He said that the go ahead has been given for three naxal affected districts, Sonebhadra, Mirzapur and Chandauli.
After this approval, decks have been cleared to set-up 25 police station/outposts in these three districts, he said.
